Spire Washington Hospital creates jobs as part of New Year expansion
Spire Washington Hospital is creating jobs for a number of key medical staff as part of ongoing investment in its growth.
The hospital, one of the leading private medical centres in the North East, will be introducing additional services in 2014 including a new weight loss treatment and a one-stop skin lesion removal clinic.
As part of the expansion, the hospital is recruiting nine new employees, including an MRI/CT radiographer for the radiology department and eight nurses. Four Registered General Nurses (RGN) are sought for ward duties and four RGNs or Operating Department Practitioners as theatre scrubs staff. Both day and night posts are available.
Spire Washington’s business development manager, Chloe Senneck, said: “We pride ourselves in providing the very best treatment for our patients and as part of that service, we recruit the very best people to provide it.
“That said, we don’t just take on those with years of experience – we are also keen to recruit talented individuals at the start of their careers who have the potential to become valued members of our team. Spire Washington has a policy of supporting our staff with structured career development and we invest heavily in training.
“It is a strategy that pays dividends for the hospital, our patients and our staff. We are proud of our low employee turnover rate and the fact that our people tend to stay with us for the long-term. A great example of this is our hospital director Shelagh Alderson, who originally started working for Washington Spire Hospital as our physiotherapy manager in 1997.”
The hospital, which has benefited from significant investment into refurbishments and extensions in the last 12 months and will continue to expand in 2014, offers an attractive package including competitive salaries, private medical insurance and free parking.
Located just half a mile from Junction 63 on the A1, Spire Washington treats patients from across the region.
