Middleton Solicitors poised for growth in 2014 thanks to clear vision
Middleton Solicitors, a Liverpool based law firm have laid the groundwork for significant growth in 2014 as the dust settles following the economic downturn.
More than 250 law firms in the region have fallen victim to the recession over the last few years, but Middleton’s focus on providing clear, easy to understand advice to their clients has helped the firm weather the storm.
“The last few years have been challenging for everyone in the legal industry,” said Middleton’s senior partner Alan Middleton; “But we have always strived to offer our clients clarity and keeping them firmly at the centre of everything we do.
“We ensure our clients understand what is happening at every stage of the process and provide a supportive, welcoming environment for them to discuss things with us at any time. People have continued to put their faith in us when they have needed legal help.”
Heading into the New Year, Middleton Solicitors is in a strong position. As the housing market recovers the firm has appointed a new partner – 35 years qualified Robert Singleton who is tremendously experienced in conveyancing, wills and probate.
Robert will help provide the leadership required for Middleton’s to expand while maintaining full focus on each individual client.
“I was thrilled to be offered a partnership here,” he said. “Middletons is such an approachable law firm. Seeing a solicitor can be quite intimidating but here everyone is very friendly and welcoming to clients.
“As a result I have enjoyed working here because the focus is on helping people. When Alan approached me about becoming partner I had no hesitation.”
Speaking about the decision, Alan Middleton said Robert’s knowledge of the law and of the city made him a valuable part of the Middleton Solicitors’ family.
“Robert has excellent contacts in Liverpool and having practised law here for so long he has probably seen it all,” said Alan. “He has been a key member of the team since he arrived here and we are honoured that he has accepted our offer of a partnership.”
James Conning may be at the younger end of the scale, but sports law is in his blood.
Middleton’s is also to proud to announce that it has also launched a sports law department with rising star James Conning. The 22-year-old from Formby worked as a consultant for football agency Crown after graduating with a law degree from Liverpool John Moores University.
After securing a number or work experience placements at other law firms in Liverpool, James decided to join Middleton’s, which has offices on Dale Street and Old Hall Street, due to its table-topping potential.
“Middleton’s is definitely on the up,” he said. “It is a firm which has come through the wider economic downturn and is currently on the front foot. There is a good team spirit here which reflects in the friendly but professional way we welcome clients.
“Being part of a newly established department dealing in sports law is exciting and I’m looking forward to the prospect of helping make this expansion of the Middleton’s practice successful.”
