Technip win two contracts off Brazilian coast

Oil and gas engineering firm Technip, who operate Gateshead and Walker bases, have secured two contracts to carry out work on a Brazilian oil field.

The firm will supply a system of flexible pipes for the field which is some 250 km off the coast of Rio de Janeiro.

Technip will supply approximately 100 km of flexible pipes for oil production, gas lift, and gas injection, as well as the supporting equipment to be installed on floating production, storage and offloading units.

The firm’s Brazilian operation will perform the engineering and project management.
