Leeds Science Warehouse wins 5 year contract with Trinity College Dublin

Leeds-based Science Warehouse, an e-business services provider, has won a five-year contract to roll out a campus-wide e-marketplace for Trinity College Dublin.

Science Warehouse helps organisations to achieve full procurement control by collating all of their preferred suppliers for indirect goods and services in a single web-based application.

Trinity College Dublin was ranked 1st in Ireland by the 2013 Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

Dr David Hames, Chairman of Science Warehouse, commented: “Science Warehouse has a strong reputation for being the e-procurement provider of choice to research universities.

We are therefore delighted that Trinity College Dublin, Ireland’s premier university and one of the world’s leading research-intensive universities, has joined the Science Warehouse community.“

“By selecting Science Warehouse, Trinity will enjoy a best-in-class solution that can deliver real benefit for its staff; our intuitive Amazon-like user interface makes procurement for University staff as easy as ordering online at home.

“The rich content and ease of product comparability ensure that they can select the right product at the best price every time.

“At the institutional level, the Science Warehouse solution will deliver increased compliance, purchasing process efficiencies and substantial cost savings for Trinity – exactly as it as it continues to do, year-on-year, for many other university customers.”

Ian Mathews, Treasurer at Trinity College Dublin, added: “The reporting tools provided as part of our Science Warehouse procurement package will encourage effective spend analysis which is central to the delivery of sustained procurement performance.

“We expect our partnership with Science Warehouse to enhance our existing procurement processes and bring potential savings into even sharper focus.”
