The Manufacturing Institute strengthens operational excellence team with senior appointment
The Manchester-based Manufacturing Institute has appointed Paul Laidlaw as Managing Consultant.
As Europe’s premier partner for the prestigious Shingo Prize for operational excellence, The Manufacturing Institute works with organisations to transform culture and systems to deliver world-class performance. In his new role Paul will work with global clients to drive higher standards using the Shingo model.
Paul, a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, joins the business improvement and educational consultancy from global shipping business Maersk Line, where he led the process excellence team - spearheading a change management project to overhaul corporate culture.
Previously he was a Lean Coach at Robert McBride, Europe’s leading private label supplier to retailers, where he led projects to secure cost reduction and revenue growth through process and business improvement.
Paul honed his Lean expertise as European Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt at chemicals giant Celanese, with responsibility for all lean and Six Sigma activities across its European sites. He had started at the company as Quality Assurance and Technical Manager
