Privilege card scheme starts at landmark office building

A privilege card scheme, believed to be the first of its kind in Yorkshire, is being launched to add benefits for occupiers of a landmark office building.

A reward card, Pinnacle Privilege, providing discounts with a wide range of retailers, has been launched by the management team at office and retail property Pinnacle Leeds.

Pinnacle Privilege follows progress with a major £6m,on-going upgrade for the 20-storey tower, and the leasing of full floors to Optimisa Research and geological research company, RDR,and the latest letting to re-structuring and recovery business, FRP Advisory, which has taken 1,450 sq ft on the fifth floor.

The new occupiers have joined actuaries, Barnett Waddingham and highway consultants, Steer Davis Gleave, which have both extended their lease commitments to the building. Four newly-refurbished floors of 5,100 sq ft arecurrentlyavailablefor lease with two further floors in the refurbishment pipeline.

Asset manager at London-based Moorfield Group, Mark Holmes, speaking for the partnership responsible for Pinnacle, says: “We are delighted that our commitment to Pinnacle Leeds through the refurbishment and introduction of a range of exciting amenities, including the privilege card, is being well received by current and prospective occupiers.”

Director of Leeds-based asset management partner Holbeck Land, Robert Firth, says: “This is the first reward scheme in Yorkshire to link the corporate office market and independent local retailers.

“So far, 14 retail partners, including an hotel, gymnasium, dry cleaners, bars, restaurants and florists, have joined Pinnacle Privilege scheme which is being launched this week (Jan 6th).

“Our location close to Park Row and Trinity Leeds and the offer of 24/7 access and good on-site parking is proving attractive to companies and staff. The privilege card is an additional benefit to our occupier partners and the opportunity to obtain discounts and for retailers to capture repeat shoppers iscreating further interest. “

Robert Firth says commercial occupiers have a wide range of choice in the current highly-competitive office market and any niche offering which adds value is amajor attraction.

He adds: “This scheme, open to all existing and future Pinnacle tenants, has no cost but a ‘something-for-everybody’ appeal. It allows business owners or managers to share real advantages with their staff by enabling them to make cost-effectiveuse of retail offersand help boost city centre trade.

“We aim to create a ‘five-star’ feel foroccupiers in line with the quality of office space and facilities. Supplier take up is goodand occupier feedback in the concept stage has been enthusiastic.”

Joy Barraclough, head of human resources at Optimisa Research, which has occupied 5,100 sq ft of office space on the 14th floor for 18 months and has 29 staff, says: “At Optimisa, I believe that the Pinnacle Privilege card will become regarded almost as an additional employee benefit for everyone.”
