Liverpool digital agency to support Metro Radio Arena Newcastle
The Metro Radio Arena Newcastle has appointed Liverpool’s Tresamo Media as its retained agency to manage their social media presence.
Tresamo will help realise the 11,000 capacity venue’s ambition to become the most socially engaged arena in the UK, maintaining fun, informative and responsive channels of communication between operators SMG Europe and entertainment fans.
The Metro Radio Arena Newcastle is the largest concert and exhibition venue in the North East of England and is owned and operated by SMG and, since its opening in 1995, has established itself as a iconic venue and major North East landmark, playing host to millions of visitors to concerts, exhibitions, conferences and world class sporting events.
Nichola McKenna, Marketing and Commercial Manager at the arena said: “Social media plays a crucial and proven role in our communications. In 2014, we will transform the way we deliver social media, creating a structure that allows us to use engaging and inspiring content more effectively across all our platforms and have more event-driven conversations with our fans.
“We have a very exciting product and it’s important our social media reflects and builds on this excitement. We were particularly drawn to Tresamo’s dedicated social media offering.
“Their team lives and breathes conversational marketing and they understand the importance of weaving social media into the heart of an integrated marketing approach. Their experience, insight and strategic approach will no doubt prove hugely valuable to us.”
Daniel Kidd, Head of Digital at Tresamo: “We are of course delighted to have joined the team at the Metro Radio Arena Newcastle and we are very excited at being presented an amazing opportunity to showcase such an iconic venue! Entertainment fans can look forward to world class, award winning social content.”
