Clough & Willis Launches Healthcare Department
Clough & Willis – the Bury based law firm – has this week launched a new department geared towards the specific needs of the Healthcare sector.
The new team, which is headed by Guy Lachlan, is aimed at a number of key Healthcare sub-sectors, including; dental practices, GP practices, pharmacies, care homes and childcare operations. The launch comes a few months after Guy joined the firm as an associate solicitor in its growing corporate and commercial practice.
Key services on offer include; acquisitions, disposals and practice mergers, restructuring, property & development matters, partnership advice & corporate governance, employment advice as well working with banks on specific care home funding issues. The firm has previous experience in the market and already acts for a number of Healthcare clients including local Healthcare organisations.
Guy will be joined by several of his Clough & Willis colleagues in the newly formed team: Fiona Gaskell (dispute resolution & debt recovery), David Leviten (commercial property) as well as Amy Sercombe-Ross (employment).
Guy commented: “Over the years, Clough & Willis has built up considerable knowledge of the Healthcare industry so forming this new department was the next natural step for the firm. We have worked hard to ensure our services meet the specific needs of those working in the sector by listening to our existing clients and also by going out and consulting with the wider industry. There have - of course - been huge changes within the sector in recent times, which have resulted in more pressure but also more opportunities – especially for commercially minded GPs and dentists.
Guy concluded: We are now looking forward to adding real value and growing our presence in this changing and dynamic area.“
