Contract extension keeps utility work flowing
Utility infrastructure services provider Fastflow has secured an extension to its contract with Hartlepool Water, which is owned by Anglian Water.
The deal, to manage and maintain the clean water network across the Hartlepool area, runs until July 2015 and secures the jobs of the teams working on the Hartlepool contract.
The Pipeline Services division (FPS) of the Washington based Fastflow Group has worked with Hartlepool Water since July 2010 as its sole clean water contractor, ensuring supplies to 89,000 domestic customers across 92 sq. km. by carrying out network rehabilitation, renewal, new connections, reinstatement and metering works.
Neil Armstrong, Chief Executive Officer, said: “We are delighted to have secured further work with Hartlepool Water, which is a valued customer. This contract extension offers a continuity of workload and brings job security for our people.”
The majority of Fastflow’s operations in the North East are with Northumbrian Water, for which it has worked for more than 20 years. Last year it helped NWL achieve its best ever results for meter installation.
The company’s Energy Services division, based at Warrington, is an approved partner to National Grid for gas diversion and installation works throughout the UK.
This year the Fastflow Group turnover is expected to exceed £30 million.
