Leeds Bradford named Best UK Airport at Globe Travel Awards
Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA) has been awarded Best UK Airport at the annual Globe Travel Awards ceremony.
The awards recognise excellence within the travel industry, with votes cast solely by the UK travel agent community. The awards are presented by Travel Weekly and are widely regarded as the biggest accolades in the UK travel industry.
Comedian James Corden presented the accolade to James Broughton, Leeds Bradford Airport’s Sales & Marketing Manager, who accepted the award on behalf of the airport.
Tony Hallwood, Leeds Bradford Airport’s Aviation Development & Marketing Director said, “Receiving this award is a fantastic achievement for Leeds Bradford Airport, which recognises the ongoing hard work of our team of dedicated staff and the successful relationships we foster with our travel and trade partners.
“Gaining recognition as Best UK Airport by the travel industry is an accomplishment which we are immensely proud of, and shows just how far Leeds Bradford Airport has come in recent years.
“We remain dedicated to further improve and expand services available from Leeds Bradford to offer increased destination choice for Yorkshire passengers.”
“The Globe Travel Awards isn’t just the biggest night in the travel industry calendar: the Globes are voted for solely by the agent community to ensure suppliers receive the accolades they deserve” said Clive Jacobs, Chairman at Travel Weekly Group.*
