Preston firms offered New Year business boost

Two leading Preston businesses have joined forces to help companies in the area to grow during 2014.

Bizspace, one of the UK’s leading providers of flexible business space, along with business and marketing specialist NXO, will launch MAP Business Academy this month.

Based at Preston Technology Centre, Marsh Lane, the innovative scheme will be offered to all new customers who sign up for workspace at the popular business centre.

As well as taking advantage of preferential rent, business owners will be offered 12 months of mentoring and guidance for long-term Bizspace customer NXO. This will be in the form of one-to-one seminars and group workshops.

NXO chairman, Philip Dyer, is looking forward to working with the next generation of business in Preston. He said: “The right attitude is crucial in realising business goals, and at NXO, we help to maintain a focussed and proactive approach in achieving these goals.”

Preston Technology Centre Manager Juile McNulty, added: “Bizspace and NXO both have an established and thriving position in business and together we can offer a wealth of experience and expertise to newer businesses looking to develop. We are excited to fulfil the great potential of MAP Business Academy and even more so that this is in partnership with valued Bizspace customer NXO.”

Bizspace’s sales and marketing director, Emma Long, added: “As a company, Bizspace likes to work with our customers whenever possible. NXO have been based in our centre for 18 years so this was a perfect opportunity.”

By the end of 2013, some 400,000 businesses will have started in the UK with only a fraction succeeding past 12 months. Together, Bizspace and NXO plan to mentor such businesses so that they are better equipped to maintain growth and development regardless of the economic climate.
