“You’re hired!”, Sheffield agency tells apprentice and two new recruits
Social marketing agency diva creative has taken on three new employees – including its first apprentice.
With continued success after its best-ever year in 2013, Sheffield-based diva has welcomed front-end developer Alasdair Jackson, account manager Danny Oliver and apprentice designer Tom Paredes to its growing team.
Alasdair, 31, joins diva with 10 years’ experience of building websites for the likes of Universal, MTV and Sony. Originally from Buckinghamshire, he graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2004.
Chesterfield-born Danny, 27, previously worked at Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Trust. At diva, he will use his knowledge of behaviour change research and evaluation to inform strategic marketing campaigns.
19-year-old Tom is spending three days a week as an apprentice at the company, where he works on video and graphic design projects whilst continuing to study at Sheffield College.
Amanda Pearce, director at diva creative, said: “Our services are in high demand at the moment and we have seen 2014 begin with commissions from new and old clients.
“Apprenticeships are not something we have done before but it has proven to be a very rewarding process, both for us and for Tom.
“We are confident of further business growth this year, so this is a very exciting time for diva.”
Established in 1997, diva specialises in behaviour change and works on campaigns across the country.
It recently won the Grand Prix accolade at the prestigious UK Public Sector Communications Awards, where it had been shortlisted for no fewer than 10 gongs.
diva is currently searching for a PHP/mobile developer as it continues to recruit to build a network of contractors in digital design, web design and video production.
