Yorkshire Publishers announce launch of Dave Banks debut novel, ‘Cue the Camels’, foreword by Jay Leno

Yorkshire Publishers, Gail Powell and Diane Hall, announce the launch of Californian author Dave Banks’ debut book ‘Cue the Camels’ foreword by Jay Leno, to coincide with Jay’s last ever recording of the Tonight Show on February 6th, 2014.

Many people would think they’d made it in life if they were surrounded on a daily basis by A-list celebrities in sunny California, with free pastries on tap. Not so Dave Banks, who – as a freelance cameraman – regularly stepped out from the cushy Tonight Show studios to film in some of the most hostile locations in the world.

Getting lost in landmine fields, being shot at and having a bounty on his head was all in a day’s work for Dave, as he strived to bring the audience things they’d never seen the like of before.

In ‘Cue the Camels’, three-time Emmy award winning film-maker Dave, shares some of his adventures, whilst in pursuit of the coveted ‘money shot’. His comedic style will be sure to entertain and the things he’s experienced will leave you in awe.

If you have always wondered what goes on behind the camera now is your chance to find out.

Gail Powell and Diane Hall, two mums from Yorkshire set up Solopreneur Publishing 12 months ago because they were disillusioned with the profit motivated traditional routes to market currently available for self-published authors. Gail and Diane wanted to create a company that would fit in at any stage, to help any author write and produce a professionally tailored self-published book, enabling them to earn the majority of the royalties. They also wanted to help authors to market their books successfully instead of getting lost amongst the 12 million books currently available on the larger online book selling platforms.

Dave Banks became their first traditionally published author.

Gail stated that …’Diane had been coaching Dave via Skype on the content of his book for some time, prior to starting the new publishing venture, and then she approached him asking if he would like to be the first signing to our traditional ‘Solopreneur’ imprint. He jumped at the chance and thought working with us would be awesome!’

This book is very unusual as each chapter has a web-link, and QR codes for smart phone users, providing access to the amazing footage Dave has filmed in often hostile and dangerous situations. The film clips are unique and truly bring the book to life.

The book is now available on pre-order - all orders before 6th February will be signed by the author, Dave Banks - www.cuethecamels.com
