Liverpool's Medicash tackle Rugby Football League contract
The Rugby Football League (RFL), the governing body for rugby league football in Britain and Ireland has secured a contract with health cash plan provider Medicash.
The RFL has signed an exclusive deal with Liverpool-based Medicash to provide its staff with a tailored corporate health and wellbeing plan.
Based in Leeds, the RFL administers England’s national rugby league team, the Challenge Cup, the Super League and the Championships which form the professional and semi-professional structure of the game in the UK.
RFL Finance Director Sue Allan said: “We are delighted to confirm that Medicash is our new healthcare provider and we are looking forward to working with them in 2014.
“The Medicash plan allows us to meet the healthcare needs of all our employees.
“As an added bonus, the whole process of setting up the scheme and inviting employees to join is very simple, straightforward and quick – which is exactly what we needed.”
Sue Weir, Medicash CEO, added: “We worked with the RFL to define which health plan would be best for their employees.
“The plan will not only enable employees to claim back the costs of some of their day-to-day healthcare treatments, but will also give them access to a range of specialist services. We’d like to congratulate the RFL on its fantastic recent achievement – hosting an amazingly successful World Cup.”
