Open evening success for Neurosupport
Liverpool-based charity Neurosupport marked a successful open evening last Thursday [23 January] as key Liverpool businesses visited their centre on Norton Street to see the range of conference, events and meeting space on offer.
Neurosupport is a unique charity providing much needed information, advice and support to people diagnosed with neurological conditions, their families and the professionals who care for them throughout their journey.
The charity has provided conference facilities for over twenty years and has three meeting rooms, as well as a large and multi-functional conference and events space adjacent to a bright and airy foyer.
Maureen Kelly, chief executive officer at Neurosupport said: “We were thrilled to have the opportunity to engage with new businesses across the city region and we hope that the relationships that were instigated on Thursday continue and grow over the coming months.
“Hire of our rooms and facilities provides us with an important additional revenue stream to fund the work that we do, and deliver much needed help and support directly to those who need it.
“Most people are affected by neurological conditions in one way or another, whether it is directly or through a friend or loved one. As a charity, we do not signpost; we deal with the issues that are facing people head on by offering tangible and immediate help and advice. “
Neurosupport aims to raise awareness and understanding of neurological conditions by empowering individuals and their families to manage their conditions. Funding comes from donations from the public, fundraising events and from conference, events and meeting room hire.
The centre is within easy reach of Liverpool City Centre, with good transport links to the city and parking facilities nearby.
All income generated from room hire at Neurosupport goes towards providing the vital help needed by those who receive little or none at all. Businesses who take advantage of the space available are essentially reinvesting their money into the valuable work Neurosupport do.
