Flybe Glasgow route showcased from Leeds Bradford
Delegates were flown to Glasgow from Leeds Bradford Airport in a showcase of Scotland from Yorkshire’s gateway airport with Flybe.
The delegates experienced a day trip in Scotland’s largest city to sample “how easily the regions businesses can travel to Scotland and back in the same day.”
The group included representatives from Yorkshire Building Society, PwC, Grant Thornton, British Library, Kirklees College and Logistik Group.
Darren Peters, Corporate Sales Executive at Leeds Bradford Airport, said: “This familiarisation trip was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the convenient schedule and great service available between Leeds Bradford Airport and Glasgow with Flybe.
“We have demonstrated to key PA’s and travel bookers how easily their directors, management and staff can fly to Scotland from Leeds Bradford for a full business day, avoiding the need for a lengthy road or rail journey.”
Emma Kirkbright of Yorkshire Building Society, said: “I was pleasantly surprised by the fantastic offer that was available not only for business but also leisure travellers in the Yorkshire Premier Lounge at Leeds Bradford Airport.
“I was impressed with the flight service we received, the stewards were very friendly and accommodating, I couldn’t have asked for more.
“The whole trip was so effortless and time saving; I don’t know why anyone would choose other methods of transport to get to Glasgow.”
Jane Chalk of British Libraries, said: “The Leeds Bradford Airport flight is a great way of cutting the journey time to Glasgow and has the benefit of allowing business to be conducted within a single day. As and when the need arises we will certainly consider using this excellent service.”
