BCL Legal grows team around the UK with four new appointments
BCL Legal - one of the UK’s leading legal recruitment consultancies which has offices in London, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Liverpool, Bristol and Reading – is continuing its expansion drive following the appointment of four new members of staff across its network. This new batch of appointments takes BCL Legal’s total staff count to 44 people.
Rachael North has joined the in-house team as director. With in excess of 16 years’ specialist legal recruitment experience, Rachael will be working closely with clients across commerce & industry; including, but not limited to the TMT, retail, bio-tech & pharma, property, logistics, energy, professional services, manufacturing and financial service sectors. Her geographical remit will be on developing relationships with clients based in and around London and the South East, including the Home Counties. Rachael will also lead the business as it seeks to establish a footprint in Europe. Prior to joining BCL Legal, Rachael was a director and partner at Laurence Simons International and therefore comes with a wealth of experience and knowledge.
In the Birmingham office, Gishan Abeyratne has been appointed as a consultant in the private practice division. Gishan’s new role will see him deal with real estate, commercial property, development, construction, environment, planning, property finance and social housing roles across the West Midlands, the East and South of England. Before joining BCL Legal, he spent three years working in finance and sales in London. In addition to Gishan, the Birmingham team has also appointed Hannah Iqbal as a consultancy support administrator. Her core roles and responsibilities include processing CVs, data input and general team support.
The final new appointment is Delyth Higham. Delyth is the Yorkshire/ North East team’s new managing associate and she will be recruiting lawyers at all levels of seniority; from newly qualified solicitors to equity partners into the leading national and commercial practices that are based in Leeds, Bradford, Hull, York and Harrogate. Delyth is a qualified family solicitor and has over 12 years’ experience as a legal recruitment consultant. She has previously worked at Taylor Root, Anakin Seal and Pure.
