Kaspersky Lab at Mobile World Congress 2014

Kaspersky Lab will be showcasing a range of new and updated solutions at Mobile World Congress 2014, the world’s largest exhibition for the mobile industry, held on February 24-27, 2014 in Barcelona, Spain.

Kaspersky Lab is set to unveil its new platform designed to help financial organisations and ecommerce companies protect their users from online fraud on any device used to conduct financial operations. Moreover, the company will announce its new application for Windows Phone and an updated version of the corporate solution for mobile device management – Kaspersky Security for Mobile.

The rapid rise in the number and sophistication of fraud attacks is an increasingly pressing problem for ecommerce, as well as for individual users. A recent survey conducted by Kaspersky Lab and B2B International found that 98 per cent of users regularly access online financial services or shop online. 38 per cent of them do so with their mobile devices. The results of the survey also revealed that 62 per cent of users encountered financial cyberthreats over a 12-month period.

On February 25, 2014 at 13:30 in Hall CC1-1 Kaspersky Lab will hold a panel discussion titled “Are digital wallets safe from fraud? The IT security implications of mobile e-commerce”. The panel will bring together the company’s leading security experts and banking sector representatives to speak about the problem of online financial fraud. David Jacoby, Kaspersky Lab’s Senior Security Researcher, will give an overview of the current online banking threats and will disclose details of online fraud schemes targeting mobile funds management. Derek White, Chief Design Officer at Barclays, will discuss the challenges which banks encounter when encouraging their clients to use online and mobile banking. Vladimir Zapolyansky, Head of Product and Technology Intelligence, Kaspersky Lab, will present the company’s new solution designed to help financial organisations and ecommerce companies avoid any problems with their digital wallets caused by online financial fraud.
