Nortech Solutions join Teesside Engineering Network

The Teesside Engineering Network (TEN) has welcomed in its fourth sponsor-partner, helping to further champion the engineering businesses of the Tees Valley.

Nortech Solutions is set to join Francis Brown Ltd, Industrial & Marine Hydraulics Ltd and Axiom Engineering Associates Ltd in organising, supporting and promoting TEN.

The network was set up in early 2013 to support the local engineering supply chain, keeping companies informed and aware of new tender and contract opportunities and to provide a forum of collaboration and best practice sharing.

Bryan Bunn, managing director of Nortech Solutions, said: “Raising the profile of Tees Valley engineering is very close to my heart; not only do I want to invest in TEN as the head of Nortech Solutions but I also want to help on a personal level.

“I’d like to see the Teesside Engineering Network become the complete supply chain solution for the Tees Valley region.”

Jamie Brown, managing director of Francis Brown Ltd, welcomed Nortech Solutions to TEN on behalf of the rest of the group, adding: “It is fantastic that Bryan and Nortech Solutions are able to come on board and support TEN.

“The group started with a real passion for the Tees Valley area succeeding within our industry, and is strongly focused on expanding the area’s reputation as the place to conduct engineering business regionally, nationally and internationally.

“Nortech Solutions will strengthen that focus and expedite our goals and objectives.”

Nortech Solutions joins TEN as the network holds its fourth company breakfast briefing.

The event will be taking place on February 28 2014 at the Wilton Centre in Redcar with guest speaker Andy Readyhough, senior business development manager at DeepOcean.

DeepOcean has UK offices in Darlington and Middlesbrough and specialises in trenchers, ploughs and remote-operated vehicles to dig seabed routes for pipes and cables, and is a well-respected international player in providing advanced pipeline inspection services to operators of key subsea pipeline systems in Europe.

Andy will be presenting a brief introduction of DeepOcean Group and their core activities at the Tees Valley base. He will give an overview of DeepOcean’s offshore assets and in particular talk about ongoing support required from local companies.

The event is supported by Tees Valley Unlimited, Redcar & Cleveland Council, Big Energy and E-Max Systems.

It is free to attend but registration for the remaining places is essential via www.teesside-engineering-network.co.uk
