Weekend launch for showhome

A leading Wiltshire builder is to put the spotlight on moving home when it holds a special two-day event this weekend to launch a new showhome.

Persimmon Homes Wessex aims to help people make their property dreams come true when it holds the event at Kings Court, in Royal Wootton Bassett.

The event will be held on February 22 and February 23 as the stylish three-bedroom showhome at the development is launched.

Kings Court, which was named by Piper Shaw, a pupil from Longleaze primary school, comprises a range of properties from two-bedroom apartments, perfect for investment or first-time buyers, to a five-bedroom home over three floors with a downstairs cloakroom, en-suite to the master bedroom and a garage.

Pauline Fletcher, sales and marketing director for Persimmon Homes Wessex, said: “Kings Court has a home to suit everyone from first-time buyers, couples, investors, downsizers and growing families alike. The development offers contemporary living in a friendly community with a variety of schools, shops, sports facilities and play areas nearby.

“It is a great time to move and we have a range of schemes available. You can already see that Kings Court will have a lovely community feel with the properties offering a little bit more for buyers, including a fabulous four-storey four-bedroom home which overlooks public open space.”

Sales advisors will be on hand during the two-day event to give people advice on the various schemes available, such as the Government-backed Help to Buy, Home Change and Part Exchange. Pauline added: “The Government-backed Help to Buy scheme is proving incredibly popular with buyers as only a 5% deposit is needed along with a 75% mortgage. The rest is made up with a 20% equity loan, which is interest and repayment free for the first five years. “Other schemes available include Home Change, which can be used in conjunction with Help to Buy, were we market the home for you and pay your estate agent fees. Part Exchange is also available for those wanting to take the stress out of moving.”

Pupils at Longleaze Primary School were asked by the builder to put their thinking caps on to name two sites in Royal Wootton Bassett. In 2011 the town was given the Letters Patent on behalf of the Queen to become Royal Wootton Bassett. It is only the third town in British history to receive this honour and was given in recognition of the support and respect the townspeople show to fallen servicemen and women. Pauline added: “In recognition of that honour we asked the pupils to create names which had a royal connection. They chose Kings Court and Queens Court, which is also in the town.”
