GRM Property Secures New User for Raikes Lane Unit
Scot Group Ltd has signed a 10yr lease on a 5,541 sq ft unit in Bolton, in a move which will provide the company with a Bolton based location for its Thrifty Car & Van Rental operation.
GRM Property negotiated the deal on behalf of property owners Rinus Ltd and secured a deal worth £30,000 per year for the standalone unit, which is located on Raikes Lane, close to the entrance of the Raikes Lane Industrial Estate.
The new premises can be accessed directly from the A666, giving car hire customers’ direct access to the M60 and national motorway network.
Says Gareth Middleton from GRM Property: “The unit at Raikes Lane is in a great location on what is a main arterial route connecting Bolton Town Centre with the motorway network. Its position makes it a great choice for the Thrifty business which relies on ease of accessibility.”
Says Ian Stobart, Property Manager of Scot Group: “The new unit is an excellent addition to the Thrifty portfolio, and further enhances our offering in the North West. We are looking forward to moving into our new premises, which will open on 1st March, and building our business in the Bolton area.”
The warehouse unit provides storage space for Thrifty’s vehicles, together with customer reception and administrative accommodation.
Savills were agents on the scheme.
