Conference venue’s strong start to year

The Wynyard Rooms, one of the North-East’s premier conference and meeting venues, has enjoyed a strong start to the year - with all facilities fully booked in January and February.

And the exclusive function room suite at Wynyard Park on Teesside already has a significant number of confirmed bookings for March, a sign that the boom in business is set to continue.

Conference Co-ordinator Sarah Hargin said: “Business held up pretty well last year, but so far in 2014 it has soared to a whole new level and we are absolutely delighted to be so busy.

“We received 46 bookings for January, a further 59 for February and now March is shaping up really well with 40 confirmed bookings to date,

“The high level of bookings undoubtedly reflects the region’s improving economy and the fact that more and more companies and organisations are viewing the future in an increasingly positive light.”

The Wynyard Rooms, located within the iconic setting of Wynyard Park House, comprises a range of function rooms to cater for events of varying sizes.

Facilities include the Londonderry, Claxton and Granary rooms which can hold up to 300, 80 and 70 people respectively. The newly-refurbished atrium of Wynyard Park house can also be hired for large functions and parties.

To complement room hire, a choice of catering packages to suit all needs is available. Wynyard Park’s own in-house bistro Java Cafe which is open to the public, is also located within Wynyard Park House.

Sarah Hargin added: “Whilst we have a very competitive pricing structure that we believe makes us attractive to potential customers, we also feel that our attention to detail in terms of the quality of our conference.meeting facilities and the associated services that we are able to provide sets us apart from other similar venues.”
