C&A Pumps invest £60k in expanding fleet
Hartlepool-based manufacturers C&A Pumps and Engineering have invested £60k towards two new vans which will service new contracts across the North East.
The firm is on course to turnover £1.2 million this year and the aim is to increase its client book with the addition of the two new vehicles.
C&A were recently won the Manufacturing category at the Tees Valley Best New Business Awards.
Alan Roberts, managing director of C & A Pumps, said: “It has been a busy start to the year but we weren’t expecting any different.
“Winning the Manufacturing Award is a great boost as it recognises the fact that we have been able to quickly establish C & A Pumps and move into a range of different sectors providing expertise and solutions and great customer service.”
The business has also successfully expanded into different sectors, particularly the chemicals industry, by completing specialised, technical jobs that other firms might not be able to provide.
The company has recently worked with Teesside chemical firm Ineos and SSI to supply and install specialist ultra-sonic and radar equipment to detect depth levels in chemical tanks, while global manufacturer Huntsman purchased a range of specialist equipment and machinery including pump controls and spares.
