Heritage Healthcare acquire Oakhouse Food franchise
The owners of Darlington care firm Heritage Healthcare have acquired an Oakhouse Foods franchise - a home delivery frozen ready meal business.
Glenn and Sally Pickersgill have acquired the business which delivers frozen meals, desserts and groceries throughout Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, County Durham, Cleveland, North Yorkshire, and East Riding of Yorkshire.
The model complements Heritage Healthcare’s current operations and the pair have appointed a new manager, Martine Holborow, to oversee the running of the business.
Glenn Pickersgill said: “Heritage Healthcare currently cares for more than 400 elderly or vulnerable people throughout the region, enabling them to remain living in their own homes.
“We believe Oakhouse Foods is a perfect fit with our existing business. The award winning frozen meals are complemented by a wide range of grocery products.”
“We have employed two new telephone operators and now have a dedicated team working together to deliver a professional and friendly service.
“We hope to further grow the network of Oakhouse customers and also to provide the service to other companies and organisations that work with people with care needs. It is good value, good quality and convenient and takes away all the worry of both shopping, and preparing nutritious hot meals.”
