Newcastle marketing agency lands major Danish manufacturer contract

A Newcastle-based marketing firm has secured its first European client after winning a major contract with the world’s largest medical chewing gum maker.

ramarketing will be working with Denmark-based manufacturing giant Fertin Pharma on a brand, web development and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) project.

As an added bonus to award-winning ramarketing, they also recently renewed long-term contracts with several UK, US and Indian-owned pharmaceutical companies.

This latest contract win strengthens the agency’s foothold in the pharmaceutical market with the likes of SCM Pharma, The Specials Laboratory, Molecular Profiles and Onyx Scientific as its clients.

Now in its fifth year of trading, ramarketing is the region’s current CIPR Outstanding Small Consultancy of the year.

Founded by Raman Sehgal in 2009, ramarketing now operates across a number of sectors including property, technology, finance and leisure.

Raman said: “I’m very pleased to see the business growing on a national and international scale as it ultimately helps bring revenue and job creation to the North-East, which can only be a good thing for our region.

“We are really excited to be working with the team at Fertin Pharma as despite the difference in size between the companies, we share many of the same core values with regards to personality, approach and ethics.”

With over 600 employees worldwide and a turnover of €90 million, family-owned Fertin Pharma - based in Vejle - is the largest B2B producer of nicotine chewing gum on the planet. The innovative company hit the headlines last year after developing an immunity boosting chewing gum, which can help guard against the common cold.

Thomas Jahn, senior marketing manager at Fertin Pharma, said: “Based on strong recommendations from our network in the UK, we invited ramarketing to pitch due to their solid reputation in the pharmaceutical sector along with several well-established agencies based here in Denmark.

“We were blown away by ramarketing’s energy, creativity and strategic approach, which made them the ideal partner to help us with this key digital initiative. We are looking forward to working with the team and taking their concepts from design to reality.”

Charlotte Square-based ramarketing works with several charitable organisations and donates a percentage of the business’ profits to local community initiatives in the North-East every year.
