New Provenance Inn at Moulton opening on the 24th March
Provenance Inn’s: local supplied, nationally renowned as Great British Inns.
The Black Bull Inn at Moulton is the sixth pub to open belonging to North Yorkshire’s Provenance Inns, opening on the 24th of March.
Chris Blundell and Michael Ibbotson are proud to have returned home to North Yorkshire after successful careers in food and business, their shared passion for fresh, locally sourced food and ample experience has led them to create the popular collection of venues collectively known as the Provenance Inns .
Local contract furniture manufacturer, Hill Cross have made seating for the Inn adding to the list of local suppliers for the eagerly awaited venue.
“Inns in villages you would like to live in” is the motto of Provenance Inns. As the name suggests, the focus is on provenance, but not just the food and drink on offer but also that of the buildings and architecture, local communities and produce for each of the inns.
The award winning Provenance Inn’s have both local and national acclaim from exceptional feedback on TripAdvisor to recognition from national broadsheets; The Durham Ox at Crayke was chosen as one of the handful of eateries for the Independent’s 50 best Sunday roasts and they have also been shortlisted as a finalist in the ‘Best Managed Pub Company with 2 - 50 sites’ for the 2014 Publican Awards, which is an incredible recondition for such a new organisation. The Durham Ox and The Carpenters Arms, have both also been The Publican’s “Best Freehold Pub” in the UK and owner Michael has also been The Publican’s ‘Publican of the Year’ for the UK too.
Hill Cross have made and supplied furniture for most of the Provenance Inns and have developed a great working relationship with the company. Bespoke fixed seating made on site in North Cowton and custom-made chairs, tables and much more has been supplied to unique specifications for each of the sites adding to the comforting and friendly atmosphere of the Inn’s.
Provenance now have six inns; The Crown & Cushion at Welburn, The Carpenters Arms, Felixkirk, The Durham Ox at Crayke, The Oak Tree at Helperby, The Punchbowl Inn at Marton-Cum-Grafton and the Black Bull Inn at Moulton opening on the 24th of March.
Provenance is also due to move into the hotel business and due to open in Summer 2014 is the West Park Hotel, Harrogate which overlooks the Stray. After a two year planning and building program, the new prestigious hotel will boast an exciting 25 bedroom hotel, including 2 penthouses and 12 magnificent suites.
