Keepmoat bolsters Southern team with its second director in four weeks

National housing and regeneration specialist, Keepmoat has continued to support its ambitions for growth in the south with its second major appointment in the region in just four weeks.

Jason Seymour has been announced as Keepmoat’s new build director for its southern region and will be responsible for growing the business in this area, which has already seen more than £80m of work secured in recent months.

The 43-year-old, who lives in Bishop’s Stortford in Hertfordshire, joins Keepmoat from Willmott Dixon where he was Commercial Manager for six years. For the 11 years prior to that, he ran his own contracting and housing development company. He is responsible for leading the New Build division and will focus on delivering all tenures of Housing, Care and Extra Care schemes, as well as joint venturing and client partnering.

Another key focus of his role will be to further develop Keepmoat’s presence within the education sector. The company is already working on a number of education projects as part of the Harrow framework, together with several other education projects in and around London.

Based from the company’s office in Luton, Jason’s appointment is part of a larger recruitment drive by the company, which has seen the creation of up to 50 new jobs to support the business’s growth in the south. Jason joins Paul Munro who was recently appointed as new build director for the south west.

With a background in housing, Jason commented: “I am really looking forward to helping Keepmoat deliver its growth aspirations across the south. There are signs of recovery and with the key projects that we have already secured, I am keen to build on this foundation to enhance Keepmoat’s position as a major player in this market place.

“I plan to utilise my experience and contacts within our key sectors to forge strategic partnerships with more local authorities and housing providers and to establish land-led opportunities, which will provide the best possible solution for clients and us. We will achieve this by building an efficient and productive team ensuring that we deliver quality projects on time and within budget.”

In addition to the Harrow framework, the business that Keepmoat has already secured in the south includes a scheme in Ipswich which is the first major house-building programme the Council has commissioned in the last five decades. The development will see the construction of 108 affordable homes to the Holywells / Gainsborough area of Ipswich. Other projects include an extra care scheme in Gravesend in Kent, and new school and housing projects in Cambridge, Southend and Hertfordshire.
