The Crabbie’s Grand National Festival supports Sport Relief with Ladies Day offer

Aintree Racecourse and The Crabbie’s Grand National will be throwing their support behind Sport Relief on Friday, March 21 by donating £1 for every Ladies Day ticket sold on the day.

The money raised will help transform the lives of some of the poorest and most disadvantaged people in the UK and across the world.

Director of The Jockey Club North West John Baker, who is responsible for Aintree Racecourse and The Crabbie’s Grand National, said the offer would allow racegoers to support Sport Relief and experience a thrilling day at the races.

“Sport Relief is a fantastic charity, making a real difference to people’s lives across the globe and right here at home,” he said.

“The money we raise will help improve the lives of people suffering in poverty. It is also an opportunity for you to give while securing your place in the crowd at this year’s historic Crabbie’s Grand National Festival for Ladies Day on April 4.

“With some world class racing and a chart topping music act in Katy B, we can’t wait for a spectacular Ladies Day at the 2014 Crabbie’s Grand National.”

Crabbie’s Grand National Ambassador and jockey, Sam Twiston-Davies, said that he was proud that the festival was willing to support Sport Relief.

“I’m delighted that Aintree Racecourse and The Crabbie’s Grand National have rallied to support Sport Relief,” he said.

“As ambassador for the three-day festival I feel immense pride that racing, and The Crabbie’s Grand National, is playing its part to help those who are in need.

“Sport Relief supports people suffering through poverty in the UK and across the world and that is a really important campaign to support.”
