Top five strangest traveller requests - is my 15-year-old a baby?
Every traveller is unique and it’s not unusual to have the odd question or two before you’re about to book holiday, but Only-apartments has had its fair share of bizarre requests!
Check out its top five strangest requests from holiday makers below:
1. The ‘misguided mum’ was selected for the top spot, asking whether ‘her baby’ needed to be included in the reservation. When asked how old the baby was, the doting mother said the child was 15! Children clearly do remain ‘babies’ in their mother’s eyes for eternity.
2. How big are your freezers?Adamant that he couldn’t eat anything but English frozen goods, this holiday maker demanded measurements of all freezers before making his choice to ensure it would fit his haul of Brit cuisine.
3. Venice by road? This not-so geographically savvy male traveller both confused and amused staff when checking if he could travel to his apartment by car… in Venice. Who knew roads don’t exist there?
4.Confusion continued: One sensitive soul checked that making a booking would not mean the apartment owner would be living on the streets during her holiday.
5. Last but not least a teen festival goer asked whether check-in and check-out times applied to just days of arrival and departure. Only-apartments staff learnt never to over-estimate the term ‘self explanatory’.
