Vidzta offers winners of Crabbie’s Grand National music competition live streaming internet performance
Liverpool-based music performance streaming company Vidzta is offering a fantastic opportunity to the winners of The Crabbie’s Grand National music competition.
The firm, which won February’s Merseyside Innovation Award for its live streaming music website, is offering the three acts that the Liverpool Echo select to play on The Crabbie’s Grand National Day each a live streamed performance on their website as part of the prize package. The opportunity is being added to a package that already sees acts performing alongside a star-studded entertainment line-up featuring the T
Tea Street Band and Katy B.
One act will perform at the Equestrian Centre’s Made in Merseyside concert alongside the Tea Street Band and two others performing acoustic sets on the outdoor Steeplechase Stage.
The three acts will now also be given the chance to perform a set in a studio with Vidzta which will be broadcast to 44 countries worldwide via the web.
Vidzta will film and broadcast live a performance by each act in a professional studio with experienced sound engineers ensuring the music broadcast quality is just right. Music lovers from across the globe will also be able to interact live with the band via chat functions on the Vidzta website.
“It is a great opportunity, after performing on one global stage, to perform on another,” said Rob Moran, managing director of Vidzta.
“We have built a global audience for the performances we stream. People log into our site from all over the world and we have helped bands gain exposure and social media activity in markets they may not have dreamed of.”
John Baker, Regional Director of the Jockey Club North West, said that The Crabbie’s Grand National was keen to make a cultural contribution to the region. “There is a great line-up of races on Grand National Day, climaxing with The Crabbie’s Grand National itself, and the bill of live music will provide a fantastic soundtrack to the day. “Music is so important in Liverpool, as is The Crabbie’s Grand National,” he said. “By offering our global audience an opportunity to witness local talent on the cusp of success we can help artists achieve their ambitions. We can’t wait to get going now!”
