“Having fans travelling to our city from all over the world will give the city an excellent opportunity to showcase what a diverse and exciting place Leeds is to be.

“September 2015 is going to offer a fantastic weekend of world class rugby, and as a city we are looking forward to the hype and excitement that will surround the tournament as we get ever closer to the start date.

“For Leeds, we hope to build on the momentum that is already surrounding the city around the Tour de France and continue this excitement right through the rest of 2014 in 2015 as we get ready to host games for Rugby World Cup 2015.

“It is great to see Leeds asserting its credentials as the city to visit for world class events.”
