New apartments could be perfect for students

Finding perfect student accommodation can be a real headache, but one leading builder in Leicester believes it has the answer after creating a range of beautiful apartments.

Persimmon Homes North Midlands has created a four storey building with a stunning selection of two-bedroom flats which offer a contemporary way of living.

And the builder is now looking ahead to Saturday, April 5, when their new show apartment opens at The Wickets, in Pavilion Close.

Sherrie Hankin, head of sales for Persimmon North Midlands, said: “The Wickets is an exciting development located on the outskirts of the main town centre.

“We are really looking forward to opening the doors to our show apartment as it will give people the chance to see for themselves what it would be like to live in an apartment.

“Leicester is a thriving university town and many youngsters will be looking ahead to the autumn and the start of a new academic year.

“We often find that parents start to buy now ready for the new intake and we think they will be delighted at how much accommodation their money can buy at The Wickets, where prices start from £114,995.

“The apartments are a five-minute walk away from Leicester University or Leicester College. The Leicester Royal Infirmary Hospital is also just down the road as is Leicester City football ground and the Tigers ground if people are into sport.”

As well as being close to all the facilities, restaurants, bars and shops that Leicester has to offer, The Wickets also has great commuter links to the nearby cities of Derby, Nottingham and Birmingham and the M1 and M69 motorway networks.

Sherrie added: “These apartments are suitable for anyone looking for modern, contemporary living such as students, young professionals, couples and investors alike and they each have open plan kitchen/living areas, two bedrooms and a bathroom.

“When we create a development we like to become a part of the community and because of that we do have packages to help students.

“Our sales advisors are on hand to give people information about all the schemes available, including Help to Buy; the Government-backed initiative that is helping first-time and next-time buyers on to the property ladder.”

Help to Buy is a Government-backed shared equity scheme. Buyers only need a 5% deposit and are eligible for a 20% loan on the term of a mortgage, which is interest and repayment free for the first five years.

The marketing suite at The Wickets is open on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 5.30pm.
