New low cost accountancy firm launches nationwide
With 14% of the population now self employed*, the UK’s largest accountants for contractors and freelancers and top forty firm, SJD Accountancy is set to launch its new low cost nationwide accountancy firm - Express Accountancy in April.
Express will initially open in Brighton, Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Hemel Hempstead targeting cost conscious micro, small and medium sized business owners. Initially all offices will be corporately owned, however Express Accountancy will be giving budding entrepreneurial and experienced accountants the opportunity to open their own Express Accountancy offices via the franchise route.
Recent ONS statistics revealed that the number of people becoming self-employed continues to increase year on year with those self employed by the end June 2012 up by 366,000 from 2008.
Offering a low cost personal approach to tax and accountancy combined with a dedicated accountant, Express Accountancy clients will be able to buy into a monthly, all inclusive fixed fee low cost accountancy package, yet still have access to meet face-to-face with their accountant. By employing accountants who specialise in working with small business owners, Express Accountancy will offer support to help clients navigate the complex world of self-assessment, company returns and financial jargon.
Heather Dore, from Express Accountancy comments, “Having worked with thousands of small businesses over the years, we realised there was an increase in those working for themselves and requiring tax and accountancy advice. Offering our experience from 22 years in the accountancy field along with highly skilled accountants enables us to offer a highly personalised service.”
