Why Pandas and Penguins matter for your business

The Panda update, no not the endangered species, was rolled out in 2011 and there is still much confusion about how Google search works then before anyone had time to figure it out Penguins began to march in and affected an estimated 3.1 per cent of English searches.

In a nutshell Panda and Penguin updates are aimed at punishing spam websites although there are some websites which have been demoted and traffic has dipped whilst others have benefited…‘one man’s gain is another man’s loss.’

With all these dramatic changes and search engine marketing being altered for good many SEO agencies and in-house teams are now struggling to find effective responses when faced by various Panda and Penguin updates, as well as distinct movement in how Google values different types of content and links.

With businesses needing to ensure they drive as much traffic to their websites as possible it is vital they have the tools at their fingertips to effectively do so.

Here at the Centre for Digital Business we are the only organisation in the UK offering completely vendor-neutral training, consulting and research in digital business aimed at all businesses.
