New fleet moves Martin-Brooks up a gear

Sheffield-based roofing specialist, Martin-Brooks, is making a major investment in new commercial vehicles to drive its business forward.

The firm has purchased ten new Renault vans to update its fleet and is planning to add a further six in September.

Local Renault dealership, Evans Halshaw, delivered six Renault Trafic and four smaller Kangoo vans to Martin-Brooks to replace older models in its 23-strong fleet. The vehicles are a common sight around South Yorkshire and are used to transport roofers, equipment and materials between sites.

John Elmore, Martin-Brooks’ managing director, said: “Our commercial fleet is very visible and plays an important role in raising awareness of our services, which is why we take care to keep it clean and well maintained. We were impressed with the build quality and practicality of the Renault vehicles and as we were having reliability issues with some of our older vans, the four year warranty was also attractive. Evans Halshaw has delivered exactly what we were promised and we look forward to working with the firm again later in the year.”

In addition to this investment in its infrastructure, Martin-Brooks has commissioned St John’s Ambulance to provide a one-day first aid course for all 54 site operatives, to ensure the firm’s roofing teams are up to date with current legislation and are equipped to handle any accidents at work.
