Sales Nugget – Urgent?
“Is this activity urgent or not and what impact will it make to your sales?“ I asked this last week to a couple of customers. The objective was to see if they were doing activities that were increasing their chances of new sales or that they were just keeping themselves busy without achieving anything.
It is a fact that every person needs to balance priorities so that they are focussing on what’s best for their business and their customers. We can sometimes seem to be very busy, but at the end of the week we haven’t achieved anything.
We must prioritise on calling and meeting those prospects and customers whose potential business can increase your sales. We have to learn to use our time wisely and make every hour and every day count.
You will have been told many times to make a list at the end of the day and prioritise them so that you focus on successfully completing them one at a time. I have kept to-do lists for many years; some lists had a full page of actions others several pages and the funny thing is that in all my years I only ever seem to complete on average six on the list.
This week I want you to decide what actions are the most important and then list them from one to sixm each day. The next morning look at your list and start at number one, then when that is complete start on number two and so on.
It’s a good feeling when you’ve completed your six actions and most importantly they will be actions that will help grow your business.
To finish this week’s column I thought I would give a mention to great company who deliver a fantastic service and are looking to continue to grow. Keep up the good work Matt, Garry and the team at LNOF. You can find out a little bit about them by clicking on their site http://www.lastnightoffreedom.co.uk/
