BCL Legal Sponsored Merseyside JLD Ball Raises £4,000 for the Children’s Cancer Support Group

BCL Legal – the Liverpool based legal recruitment consultancy - sponsored this year’s Merseyside Junior Lawyers’ Division Ball which took place at the Hilton Hotel on Saturday 12th April. The black tie charity ball attracted over 150 of the area’s best young legal talent which was in aid of the Children’s Cancer Support Group. A cheque for £4,000 was presented to the charity on the night.

The event had a Brazilian theme so attendees enjoyed a selection of Brazilian cocktails whilst being entertained by a troop of live samba dancers.

Paul Warburton – senior associate - in BCL Legal’s North West private practice division – said: “We were delighted to sponsor this year’s Ball as the Merseyside JLD does some fantastic work supporting young legal talent in the area. The night was real success and raising so much for the Children’s Cancer Support Group was the icing on the cake.“

The Merseyside JLD is an independent association affiliated to the National JLD. It strives to provide an educational and professional support network for young lawyers in the Merseyside region and is equipped to represent the views and opinions of its members on a national level.

As a committee the Merseyside JLD provides a wide range of services, including; networking opportunities through its social and sporting events, educational talks and seminars, work experience and charity fundraising.
