Big top lift off as Quite Great win Circus PR battle!

Chaplin’s Circus has appointed Quite Great Communications to handle all their PR matters and will soon be coming to a town near you. After years of preparation and organisation the founders of Chaplin’s have signed a long term deal to work exclusively with creative publicity experts.

Under the biggest of big tops, Chaplin’s Circus is a unique theatrical performance/pantomime different to anything you will have seen before. Taking the audience back to 1924 to witness the back-stage life, love stories and rehearsals of the cast of the circus, rivalry and sabotage runs rampant. The show combines magic, juggling and acrobatics, plus The Human Cannon Ball is set to return for the finale for the first time in many years. Will Chaplin’s Circus overcome these forces of darkness and emerge as the greatest circus show of its day?

The master minds behind Chaplin’s Circus are Gary Stocker, Mark Foot and Charlie Pakdel. Gary became a street performer in Covent Garden when he was 15 before studying at Oxford and training as a lawyer. Meanwhile, Mark ran away to the circus when he was only 8 years old, where he learned and mastered his craft as a juggler and magician and became a ring master for some of the biggest circuses in the world. The final name in this tantalizing threesome is Charlie Pakdel, a Charlie Chaplin imitator for over five decades. So accurate is his portrayal of Chaplin, Pakdel was selected by Madame Tussauds to model for the Charlie Chaplin waxwork in London. In fact, Charlie Chaplin’s own real life grandchildren refer to him as Grandad!

Co Founder of Chaplin’s circus Gary Stocker said: “Quite Great in our minds were the only company to go with for this project. Their expertise in creativity and showmanship is second to none, all the team totally understand our vision for the project and were really excited about becoming part of the circus family, getting involved and working together”

Pete Bassett commented on the partnership: “ The Quite Great brand team at 2gr8 Consumer PR are so excited to have won the pitch to oversee the national and regional campaign for Chaplin’s Circus . Given that this is a new breed of circus that neither has animals nor clowns but focuses on combining circus with theatre and part pantomime, we see many opportunities within the media. It was clear that our pedigree as a creative PR team won the day and it will be a great challenge to combine focused creativity with strong features covering broadcast, print media and online.“
