Care UK unveils £6 million Leamington Spa care home
Leamington Spa’s newest care home, the £6 million Priors House, is opening its doors to a show suite on Monday 24 March, giving members of the public their first opportunity to take a closer look at the 80-bedded care home, which is on course to create 40 jobs.
Situated on Old Milverton Lane, the purpose built care home will offer a range of services including residential and nursing care and specialist dementia care, together with palliative, respite and end of life care.
Richard Scarth, Regional Director for Care UK, said: “Priors House represents a major investment for Care UK, and we are looking forward to welcoming those who want to see the residential and nursing environment for themselves.
“We know from experience many families value the opportunity to secure a bed at a brand new care home – where their loved ones can be the first to make the most of the facilities. The unveiling of the show suite gives visitors to Priors House their first opportunity to take a closer look at the care home, and our doors are now open for those who want to meet the experienced team who are already on board, and find out more about the range of services we will be providing here in Leamington Spa.”
Sensitively-designed to enable its residents to live active and fulfilled lives, the care home features its very own cinema room and a hairdressing salon. With its name inspired by Royal Leamington Spa’s former name, Leamington Priors, visitors can expect a nod to local history throughout, with references to famous people from Warwickshire in the naming of the homes’ lounges, dining rooms and café.
All bedrooms at Priors House have from their own en-suite wet room, a flat-screen television, adjustable profile bed and a 24-hour nurse call system. There is a sun-filled garden room and safe and secure, wheelchair friendly landscaped gardens.
The layout of the home has been designed to support the formation of close-knit communities - a factor which has proven particularly helpful for residents living with dementia, who benefit from calm, familiar surroundings.
Richard Scarth added: “Care UK has built its reputation tailoring care plans to fit the requirements of each individual resident, working closely with families and friends to make sure the care environment feels like a ‘home from home’.
“Priors House has been designed to enhance residents’ lives in a host of ways, with its layout and facilities well thought-through to ensure residents’ needs are well served – from physical needs to likes and dislikes, hobbies and interests.
“With the show suites now open, we are inviting members of the public to drop in Priors House and see for themselves how this approach has resulted in the creation of a high specification care home with a warm and welcoming atmosphere.”
From Monday 24 March, the show suite at Priors House will be open from 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday. Other times are available by appointment only. For more information, please call Mawson Chipchase on 0333 321 1924 or email mawson.chipchase@careuk.com.
