Samsung and Airwatch to present at Apadmi’s mobile enterprise breakfast seminar
Manchester based app developer, Apadmi, urges the region’s businesses to exploit the opportunities that mobile presents with free enterprise workshop
Manchester-based app developer, Apadmi is running an exclusive, invite only ‘Meet the Experts: Enterprise Mobility & MDM’ breakfast seminar on the 28th May to enable North West businesses to learn more about enterprise mobility and develop their internal mobile strategy. The event will cover enterprise app development, BYOD and mobile device and application management, and facilitate direct networking and knowledge sharing through a series of presentations and discussions with mobile experts Apadmi, Samsung and Airwatch.
Apadmi predicts that over 45% of North West businesses do not have a mobile strategy in place, and even fewer have a strategy targeted towards internal enterprise solutions. This is despite the majority stating that mobile is set to play a major role in their business model by the end of 2015.
The benefits that internal enterprise apps can offer to companies are increasingly being realised, however this is an area not as well understood as the consumer market.
The opportunities surrounding mobile business applications and their potential to be a disruptive force in the enterprise space has been talked about for as long as consumer apps have been on the go. However, as with BYOD and fully unified communications programmes, the actual number of purely commissioned and deployed apps for enterprise are relatively few. This is changing though and Gartner has predicted that a quarter of organisations will have an enterprise app store by 2017. Furthermore, although enterprise solutions have been established for many years, the share of apps for business versus consumer has considerably increased over the last 12 months and this is expected to increase further.
Commenting on the up-coming event, Matt Hunt, business development manager at Apadmi said “With enterprise mobility and BYOD proving such a crucial factor in how many modern businesses operate, we were quite surprised at the high number of companies saying that mobile will have a major influence on how they operate, yet they still don’t have a plan in place.
“The North West is known as a major global technology hub so we really need to address how businesses can exploit the opportunities that mobile presents. The event is designed as a learning and knowledge sharing exercise for businesses and we are delighted to have Airwatch and Samsung on board who will be providing some invaluable advice and insight in their respective fields”.
The event is to be held on May 28th 08.30am – 12.00pm at On the 7th, Blue Tower, MediaCity UK, Salford, M50 2ST. San Francisco headquartered Uber, who have recently established a presence in Manchester, will provide a free £30 promotional code for taxis to and from the venue for delegates.
