Gentoo officially partner with Step Change Debt Charity
Social business, Gentoo has officially launched its formal partnership with leading UK debt charity StepChange, an exciting partnership that will now offer even more support to Gentoo customers who find themselves in debt.
The service will sit alongside existing face-to-face specialist services delivered by Gentoo and its partners, enabling customers to benefit from free debt advice service with quick, same day responses and online tools to enable information to be accessed 24-hours a day.
Vic Mackay-Parkin, Gentoo Financial Wellbeing Manager said: “People are facing greater challenges to manage their money as the cost of living rises, whilst wages and benefits remain static or reduce. This means a growing number of people are falling behind on payments and finding themselves in a spiral of debt.
“Being in debt can be an incredibly stressful experience affecting people’s work, relationships and general health and wellbeing. This partnership will help us to reach more people and improve the lives of people living with debt.”
Gentoo has a range of products and services in place to help improve its customers’ Art of Living, and this latest partnership is geared towards helping customers achieve financial wellbeing. With recent studies indicating that one in three people say they are kept awake at night worrying about money, the Group hopes this will stop customers taking more drastic action when struggling to cope with debt.
Step Change Debt Charity helps thousands of people every year via their telephone and online debt remedy service. Gentoo believe that this will help reach more people which is essential as recently more and more are falling behind on bills or are becoming victims of high cost credit providers like pay day and door step lenders.
Gentoo Group’s whole ethos is about believing nothing is impossible and finding new ways to challenge conventions, Gentoo aims to make society a better place to live and to make a real difference to the way people live their life.
