Free Cycling Training For Dougie Mac Bike Ride
Douglas Macmillan Hospice has teamed up with Sustrans the Sustainable Transport charity to offer supporters free cycle confidence training sessions, ahead of their Bike Ride on Sunday 18th May.
The two hour session is ideal for less experienced cyclist who can already ride but lack confidence when cycling on busy roads.
Training is carried out on a 1:1 or 1:2 ratio and will be tailored to suit individual requirements.
This will include riding on quiet roads, overtaking manoeuvres, progressing to quieter roundabouts and indicating left and right.
Liz Clarke, Head of Fundraising commented,
“We would like to thank Sustrans for teaming up with us for this fantastic partnership ahead of our Bike Ride on Sunday 18th May.
“This training is ideal for supporters undertaking our 10 mile local route for the Bike Ride.”
Training times and the venue can be arranged to suit the supporter, please call Cyclist Training Limited on 01785 818193 to book your free place.
To join over 750 cyclists at the Dougie Mac Bike Ride please visit www.dougiemacevents.co.uk before registration deadline of Monday 12th May.
