High wind blows in new business for Martin-Brooks
The lashing winds and rain that dominated this year’s winter weather have helped Sheffield roofing specialists, Martin-Brooks, more than treble the number of new enquires it received.
In the first quarter of 2014, the firm recorded a 157% increase in business from domestic customers, compared to the same period last year.
This surge in enquiries from South Yorkshire residents looks set to continue, with April’s figures up another 40% on last year, which was in turn, an improvement on the previous 12 months.
Andrew Wheadon, Martin-Brooks’ estimator, said: “Such healthy first quarter results are hugely encouraging and we are confident we can sustain this momentum going forward. Last year was our busiest since 2008 and in October we recorded our best ever month for new business from the domestic sector.
“The inclement weather has helped us build on this progress, but it appears confidence is returning to the market. Homeowners are not only looking to undertake essential property repairs, but are also investing in improvements that add space and value.”
Martin-Brooks carries out residential work of all types, from small roof repairs to full replacements. The firm has experts in flat and pitched roofing, along with experienced heritage craftsmen who are qualified to work on listed buildings.
All Martin-Brooks’ site staff are cleared by the Criminal Records Bureau and the firm is Competent Roofer and Trustmark approved. For further information about its full range of domestic, heritage and contract roofing services, telephone (0114) 244 7720 or visit www.martin-brooks.co.uk
