Headingley architects plan further growth after increasing turnover to £1.7 million

An architecture practice in Leeds has announced that it plans to start recruiting following a further 25% increase in turnover over the last 12 months.

Brewster Bye, which was established 22 years ago and is based in Headingley, has increased turnover by 70% over the past 3 years to £1.7 million.

The firm is predicting consistent growth going forward and now plans to create up to 12 new jobs over the next two years.

Under directors Keith Brewster, Chris Austin, Mark Henderson and Nathan WIlkinson, Brewster Bye has won new contracts and seen consecutive year-on-year growth in a range of sectors.

Managing director Keith Brewster says: “We are delighted to see both our turnover and profits increasing as confidence returns to the property and construction industries.

“In the last 18 months alone, we have employed six new staff taking our total number to 21, and we are now planning to create a number of new positions for both graduates and experienced architects.”

“Activity is now increasing across all areas of the industry and we have a bigger pipeline of exciting new developments for both new and existing clients than at any other time in the last five years.

“Our success is built on our reputation for delivering visually striking and highly functional quality projects and this has allowed us to enjoy an unusually high level of repeat business and client retention in what is a very competitive market sector and this will remain key to our future growth.”

Current projects the company is working on include the £100 million Country Resort, The Flaxby which is located between York and Harrogate, Raithwaite Hall in Whitby, as well as a £5.5 million development of 51 homes for Muse Developments at Doncaster, Lakeside.

The firm is also working on over 30 affordable, older persons and extra care housing schemes for national and regional associations.
