Thinking Digital offer free sessions for North East businesses
The team behind Thinking Digital Conference have launched a series of sessions to non event goers that will give businesses the chance to interact with the likes of HMRC, Virgin Money and Accenture.
The ‘Open to All’ lunch and coffee sessions run from May 19-21, in the interstices of the conference, and offer the wider community to hear from a range of the region’s top businesses.
As part of the line-up Accenture’s Bob Paton and Creative North’s Rob Earnshaw will lead a discussion on the virtues of taking on apprentices, and will be joined by Steve Brennan of QA Consulting who will talk about how businesses can employ apprenticeship schemes.
Elsewhere, Newcastle Central MP Chi Onwurah will lead a session on how the community can contribute to the Digital Government Review she is leading.
The review aims to establish how digital government work for the many and empower people.
A further panel event, featuring Scott Logic, HMRC and Virgin Money, will discuss the rise of the North East tech economy and the search for qualified workers.
Conference organiser Herb Kim said: “We’re really happy this year to be able to open up the lunch and morning coffee discussions during Thinking Digital to the wider North East community.
“There’ll be some really useful content presented, interesting discussions and a great chance to connect with the Thinking Digital community.”
