Humber Electrical Engineering recruits seven as growth plans take shape
A Hull manufacturer has strengthened its team with the appointment of seven new staff to a variety of specialist roles.
Humber Electrical Engineering Company has introduced the new roles as part of an expansion plan that includes additions to the salesforce, the design & estimates team and the accounts team.
And the firm’s CEO, Bryan Irving, who took control of the company with Ian Morl last year, said the company was perfectly positioned to take advantage of an increased demand for UK-based manufacturing services.
The appointments include additions to the operations and design/engineering team, the sales and estimating team and the finance team.
Humber Electrical CEO Bryan Irving said: “We are delighted to have made a number of appointments that strengthen the skills and expertise we have at our disposal at Humber Electrical Engineering.
“We have ambitious plans to develop this company and to establish it as a real jewel in the Humberside manufacturing sector. We can offer the levels of quality and expertise that are now widely associated with modern manufacturing in the UK and we want to compete globally for the biggest electrical engineering contracts.”
Irving praised the vibrancy in Hull in 2014 and said he hoped it would helped to attract yet more talent to the area. He said the imminent arrival of Siemens, the successful City of Culture bid, and even the football team’s FA Cup final appearance this May, would all help to deliver a boost to the city.
“This is a fascinating time for manufacturing on Humberside and we feel a lot of factors are going in the region’s favour at the moment. We are continuing to invest to improve the business and to expand our operations and this is an excellent time to be doing so in Hull,” he added.
“The eyes of the world are on the region at the moment and every business here has to ensure it takes advantage of the opportunities that come its way.”
