Harrogate digital agency extends into education sector
Digital agency Mixd has expanded its experience in the education sector, completing new projects for Harrogate Grammar School and Nunthorpe Academy, near Middlesborough.
The work builds on previous projects for schools and colleges across the North of England.
Both the Harrogate Grammar School and Nunthorpe Academy projects saw comprehensive user experience research undertaken ahead of design and development. The sites use custom wordpress installations to provide a robust and easily managed CMS system.
Nathan Bulley, Associate Headteacher at Harrogate Grammar said, “We know that our children, their parents and carers increasingly access the internet via their mobile device, so it was very important to us that our new site reflected this and provided quick, easy access to important information.
“The experience that Mixd could demonstrate in this area was key in our selection of a digital partner. We’ve been extremely impressed with the end result and have received some great feedback and compliments from users.”
Commenting on the work Mike Danford, creative director for Mixd said: “Both sites are responsive and built to reflect the needs and behaviours of users, with a focus on keeping key content readily accessible. We undertook a rigorous approach to understanding how various stakeholders used the sites to ensure they are quick and easy to navigate from any device.”
Mixd recently moved to new offices in Harrogate to accommodate its growing team. The business has grown rapidly with contracts in the health and travel sectors. It expects to grow to a team of 16 in 2014.
The agency has a built a strong reputation for building accessible and compliant websites that use responsive design to create a seamless user experience.
