SaleCycle named as one of UK’s top emerging tech companies

Sunderland-based remarketing specialists SaleCycle has been named as one of the UK’s top emerging tech companies.

Established in 2010, SaleCycle is a global leader in online remarketing, helping some of the world’s biggest retail brands recover lost sales by contacting customers who have not completed online purchases through email and on-site messages.

The company has been named in the 2014 Pathfinder 20 Index of top emerging UK technology companies, selected by a panel of leading technology executives.

The Pathfinder 20 Index scores companies not just on financial metrics but also other considerations such as growth prospects, innovation and the ability in the longer term to become technology leaders.

SaleCycle Founder & CEO Dominic Edmunds said: “On behalf of SaleCycle I am thrilled we have been shortlisted for this coveted award.

“On the most basic level, we are a numbers driven business, passionate about making more money for the brands we work with.

“We achieve this with innovation and a focus on being the very best at what we do. This accolade is dedicated to all of our employees who have helped make SaleCycle what it has become today.”

The accolade comes as SaleCycle continues its worldwide expansion with the opening of a new French office.

The company has appointed Senior Vice President Fabien Sanchez to head up the new Paris office and recruit a team to support client acquisition and management.

SaleCycle are already working with a number of household brands in the country, including Monoprix, Hertz, SONY and The Body Shop and are hoping the new office will help them tap into the €40Billion a year French online shopping market.

Darryn Hall, the Chief Revenue Officer for SaleCycle Europe, said: “In establishing our French operation we continue to build a global ‘centre of excellence’ in remarketing, driving better customer engagement and increasing online revenue for our clients.”

The opening of SaleCycle’s French office comes just two months after the company established its first Australian base with the opening of an office in Sydney.

The company currently employs over 60 people globally across offices in the UK, Australia, Singapore and North America, 45 of which are based at the firm’s Rainton Bridge head office.

In January the company announced plans to take on 100 new staff this year, 35 of which will be based in Sunderland.

The company has staff working across 25 territories with retail customers in almost every country in the world and plans to open offices in Japan, Germany, China and the West Coast USA by the end of the year as it expands to meet demand for its software from customers including Ralph Lauren, Superdry and Monsoon.
