HPC team up with Everton in the Community for charity tournament
Liverpool-based HR specialists High Performance Consultancy (HPC) have teamed up with Everton in the Community to launch the ‘High Performance Cup’.
The event, which will take place on Saturday 24th May at Goodison Park, will raise money to support the work of Claire House and EFC’s official charity, Everton in the Community.
HPC have worked closely with a plethora of charities for a number of years having previously raised more than £20k through sponsored events such as trekking to the summit of Kilimanjaro. Lucy Brady, Operations Director for High Performance Consultancy also plans to take on the world’s largest mountain, Mount Everest, this year to raise money for the hospice.
Speaking of the event on Saturday, Lucy Brady said: “We are dedicated to supporting local charities and Claire House is one that is especially close to our hearts. This football tournament is a great way of getting local businesses and individuals involved with their local football clubs while raising money for a good cause at the same time!”
Teams with squads between 6 and 10 are invited to enter and take part in the tournament and individual entries can be accepted to be randomly assigned to teams. The top two teams of the day will then take to the pitch to battle it out for the winning trophy in the grand finale.
To round off the day, all participants will be awarded with certificates and runners up with medals. On top of this, the teams will be given the opportunity to discuss the day while they relax in an exclusive use of an executive lounge to enjoy a drink, hot buffet and music until late. Atomic Kitten’s Liz McClarnon, who will be supporting the event throughout the day, will be presenting the winning medals and trophies.
Claire House provides respite and end-of-life care for children and young adults with life-limiting medical conditions. They currently look after 160 families across the region and they have a team of specialist nurses who also work in the community through the Hospice to Home scheme to offer care and support in the family home. Each child is given the opportunity to the hospice to stay and enjoy some one-to-one care. They can spend time in the hydrotherapy pool, enjoy a music therapy session, sing karaoke in The Den or take part in arts and crafts therapy.
Entry fee is £50 per player which includes registration into the tournament, access to the home and away dressing rooms, certificate for all players, trophy for the winning team, medals for runners up and exclusive use of an executive Everton Football Club lounge after the tournament.
