Rural development specialists expand into Skipton

Leeds based property firm Rushbond Group has let Canalside House, which is part of the company’s major Belle Vue Square development in Skipton town centre, to leading rural planning and development specialists Rural Solutions.

The company relocated from Broughton Hall to Canalside House which is a self-contained building covering 2,200 square feet that is finished to an exceptional standard and benefits from a tranquil aspect over Leeds and Liverpool Canal.

Belle Vue Square on Broughton Road consists of approximately 150,000 square feet of office, leisure and residential space, as well as a landscaped Civic square, within a cluster of Grade II Listed former mill buildings.

Richard Baker of Rushbond, says: “Rural Solutions has a fantastic track-record for working on some spectacular rural projects and obviously they need an office that reflects their reputation, so for the firm to choose Canalside House is a major endorsement for Belle Vue Square.

“The company will now join a number of other high profile occupiers at Belle Vue Square, including Craven District Council, North Yorkshire County Council and Medacs Healthcare, and this momentum is certainly helping to generate interest in the last remaining office suite. The top floor space combines 19th century industrial character with 21st century building standards.”

William Fry, Managing Director of Rural Solutions, adds: “The Broughton Hall Estate has been a fantastic home for us for more than 20 years but we felt the time was right to move.

“Belle Vue Square is in a superb location, opposite Skipton’s train station and close to the town centre yet its canal-side position still creates a calm atmosphere so it ticks all the boxes and will be a great base from which we will embark upon our next phase of growth.”
